Why this page exists
UK law asks a business with a website to say who runs it and how to reach it: regulation 6 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002.
A sole trader who works under a business name must also give their own name and a UK address where documents can be served. That goes on letters, orders, invoices and receipts, and to anyone they do business with who asks (Companies Act 2006, sections 1200 to 1202).
